Below are the requirements for selecting Certification Central as your training program.

Is there interstate reciprocity between ND and Tennessee?

     Yes

If I go through Certification Central, do I first need to obtain a ND teaching license and then apply for a license in Tennessee where I want to teach?

     No

Do I need to have actual teaching experience in ND?

     No

If I enroll in Certification Central, what are the steps to getting a license in Tennessee?

     Follow the instructions on the “Out of State Educators” webpage. Choose the second option if

you completed a licensure/educator preparation program, but did not apply for the ND teaching

license; and the third option if you received the ND license.
