Below are the requirements for selecting Certification Central as your training program.

Is there interstate reciprocity between ND and Washington D.C.

     No

If I go through Certification Central, do I first need to obtain a ND teaching license and then apply for a license in Washington D.C. where I want to teach?

     Yes

Do I need to have actual teaching experience in ND?

     Yes, two years

If I enroll in Certification Central, what are the steps to getting a license in Washington D.C.?

     On the “Office of the State Superintendent of Education: Standard Teacher Credential” webpage,
